As a consultant to the Landscape prime, CARTER•DESIGN ASSOCIATES designed a small structure in a prominent location along Town Lake to hold an irrigation pump that will take water from Town Lake to serve the Town Lake Park Cultural Landscape. Positioning of the structure was critical based on the intake structure and pump well. The building was sized and oriented for the pump and its functioning. Coordination with multiple engineering professionals was critical. A large hatch opening was designed in for future pump removal by crane. CDA performed full architectural Phases of work including preliminary design, construction documents, and construction administration.
