As a member of a Joint Venture, CARTER•DESIGN ASSOCIATES , provided programming and architectural services in support of engineering and planning for a new satellite operations and maintenance facility.

As a consultant to the Prime Engineering firm, CARTER•DESIGN ASSOCIATES , as the managing partner of the Joint Venture provided services for the programming, planning and design of a new 80,000 square foot maintenance facility for 300 buses, vans and other fleet vehicles; administrative offices and driver facilities for a total of 300 drivers including all shifts. The site plan was developed with future expansion in mind and to accommodate existing facilities on the site that will remain active both during construction and for the first phase of the project. The project was managed by the Owner as a conventional design/bid/build but with a very aggressive time line. The A/E team design phase (from programming to construction documents) was completed in 4 months, on time and $2 million under budget.
